Privacy policy

This policy explains what information [Company legal name] (“bon mec.”, “we”) collects through www.example.com, how we use it and the choices you have. The short version: your quiz answers never leave your device, and if you join our waitlist we receive only your email address.

The skin quiz

The quiz runs entirely in your web browser. Your answers and your results are not sent to us, not stored by us and not shared with anyone. When you close or reload the page, they’re gone. Because of this, we do not collect consumer health data through the quiz.

The waitlist

If you choose to join our waitlist, we collect:

• your email address;
• your consent to receive launch emails;
• which page you signed up from (for example, the home page or your quiz results);
• campaign tags in the link you followed, if any (for example, which ad brought you here).

We use this only to email you about the bon mec. launch and related updates, and to understand which pages and campaigns bring people to the waitlist. We never receive your quiz answers. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe.

Cookies and tracking

We don’t use advertising pixels, cross-site tracking or cookies of our own. While you browse, the site remembers campaign tags for the current tab only, in your browser’s session storage, and clears them when you close the tab. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses and browser type, for security and reliability.

Who we share information with

We share waitlist information only with service providers who help us run the site and send email, such as our hosting provider, Netlify, which stores waitlist sign-ups. They may use it only to provide services to us. We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

How long we keep it

We keep your waitlist information until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, or until we no longer need it for the launch, whichever comes first.

Your choices and rights

You can unsubscribe at any time. Depending on where you live, including California, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to correct it and to delete it. To make a request, email us at hello@example.com. We won’t discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Children

This site is intended for adults 18 and older. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, such as collecting new kinds of information, we’ll tell waitlist members by email before it applies.
